Unique Wedding Entertainment Ideas

ferris-wheel-1283553_960_720When it comes to planning a wedding, you want your wedding to be unique and memorable. One way to do that is with picking unique CT entertainment for your big day. Instead of simply going with DJ’s or bands, here are a few unique wedding entertainment ideas for you to choose from.

Photo Booth

Make it fun and exciting to catch those candid memories with your friends and family with a photo booth. It can match the theme of your wedding or have fun props to make the pictures unique. This is a great favor to also give away as it is a permanent memory of your day.

Caricature Artist

How about offering your guests a caricature of themselves while they wait for you to arrive at the reception? This is a unique and fun item to give to the guests as a favor as well. They can have fun getting their picture drawn then have a way to remember your wedding forever afterwards.

Instead of having a professional DJ, why not consider letting your friends and family show of their own talents? Karaoke is a fun way to get everyone to loosen up and enjoy the evening as you celebrate your nuptials. Set up the karaoke and have a blast singing and listening to your friends and family sing the night away.

Carnival Games and Rides

Take your wedding reception to a whole new level with this unique idea. Consider a bounce house for adults as you feel like a kid again. Play cornhole in the yard or have rides set up from the carnival to enjoy. If your wedding is near a carnival or amusement park, you can make this a whole reception location while your guests make wonderful memories.

Entertainment Ideas for Your Event

Are you planning a corporate event or wedding in your near future? Maybe you’re looking for some great CT entertainment ideas and you’re at a loss for what to do. Here are some great ideas for entertainment at your upcoming event.

Bring the Magic

Whether you’re going for a light hearted theme at your wedding or you want to bring some joy to a family corporate event, a magician is a great way to go. They can be fun entertainment for adults or children.

DJ’s or Bands

Music is always a great option. Whether you have a live band or you choose a DJ, the music can keep the event going and moving smoothly. You can have a dance floor for those who want to get up and show their moves or just to have a fun way to spend the reception time together.

Have you thought about having a juggler that could walk through your event entertaining at the tables as your guests are dining? This is one way you can have entertainment throughout the ceremony and it can feel like it’s on a personal level.

Singing Waiters

Some catering companies may offer this with their services.  Talk with them to see if they have a singing wait staff to add an element of entertainment to the dining experience.

There are lots of exciting ideas to plan your event and make it one to remember. Whether it’s your corporate gathering or a wedding, you can have CT entertainment that will be sure to please guests of all ages. You can always consider other options such as a caricature artist, ice sculptor, steel drum band to play or even a fire breathing entertainer depending on your theme. The choices are endless!

What Should the Groom Do In Wedding Planning?

So much of wedding planning is focused on the bride. From choosing the perfect wedding dress to knowing what you want for the finer details of the decor, much of the work ends up with the bride. However, you shouldn’t rule your fiance out of wedding planning altogether.

While there are some parts that are obvious choices for him — the tuxedo he’ll wear, for instance — there are plenty of other aspects of the wedding that he may want input on. If your fiance wants to be involved in all parts of planning, you should let him. Working together on your wedding can be a good way to practice working together on other difficult things throughout the rest of your marriage!

However, if he really doesn’t want to get involved in the wedding planning, you shouldn’t force him. Whether this is because he doesn’t feel he has time for the work involved or just doesn’t find choosing flowers interesting, you shouldn’t take this as a bad sign. He wants to be married to you and have a great wedding, but he just doesn’t have the interest in event planning.

If you’re looking for ways to involve him, you can give him a task that he does like. This could be finding the entertainment or tasting menu options. You can also bring him to a wedding expo, where he might find that wedding planning is much more fun than he thought!
