Themed Wedding Ideas

bride-526331_960_720So, you’re engaged and ready to plan the big day. Have you already had a plan in mind? Does your fiancé have the same idea? One key point to remember in wedding planning is that there are two of you in this event. Make sure you and your spouse do this together and your day is sure to be a lovely one. One exciting way to plan your wedding day is to plan a themed wedding. If you and your spouse-to-be both enjoy a specific theme, then it’s even easier to plan.

Here are a few themed wedding ideas you and your fiancé can look over to see what fits your personalities best.

Rustic Setting

Are both of you big nature lovers? Would you prefer to be out on a hike instead of inside somewhere? Then a rustic themed wedding may be the best idea for you. Talk with your wedding caterer to learn about the woodland wedding cakes you could choose. Set up an outdoor setting for your wedding and you can use pinecones, flowers, and twigs in each of the flower centerpieces. Don’t forget to tie in your wedding invitations as well so the rustic theme is carried throughout.

Beach Setting

Are you and your spouse mermaids with legs? The beach setting is perfect for your wedding day! When you’re planning a beach theme, you can go for a more casual setting where everyone is barefoot or you can choose to include all the elegant elements you would have in a church or reception hall wedding. You can use lovely blues and pastel colors to work with your theme in everything from invitations to the cake itself.

From vintage style to a fun Halloween themed wedding, make your day your own by working with your fiancé and dreaming up the magic.

How to Plan a Low-Key Luxury Wedding

It’s shaping up to be another huge summer for celebrity weddings, with some of Hollywood’s biggest names likely to walk down the aisle. However, don’t expect to see huge, over the top productions as in previous years. The big celebrity wedding trend is to go low-key. This doesn’t mean they’re scrapping the luxury, though. Low-key luxury is a great theme for any couple, celebrity or not.

The basic idea is to keep the wedding small and intimate. By inviting a smaller guest list, you are able to spend more per guest. This means you can splurge on things like the meal, cake, and favors. You’re sharing the best of everything with the people you love the most.

For celebrities, it also means keeping photos out of the media. For your low-key wedding, you can follow the same concept by keeping things off social media. Instead of publishing your whole wedding album, choose one photo for a profile photo and leave it at that.

Low-key luxury weddings are all about having it all without making a lot of noise about it. The first step is finding the right vendors. The easiest way to meet and book all the great Connecticut wedding vendors you need is to attend one of our upcoming shows!

Planning a Fourth of July Themed Wedding

If this week has left you inspired, you aren’t alone! The Fourth of July is a great summer holiday, and one that is the perfect inspiration for a fun and fabulous wedding.

You and your guests will love an Independence Day themed wedding, and when you work with great Connecticut wedding vendors, it’s easy to plan.

Think about the elements that most say “Fourth of July” to you and work those into your wedding celebration. From a red, white, and blue color palette to fireworks, from barbecue menus to outdoor fun, any Fourth of July party elements can be worked into your big day.

However, make sure you keep the focus on your wedding! It’s easy to let a holiday themed wedding veer too much to the holiday and lose sight of the wedding aspects of the day. A wedding planner and your vendors can help you keep on the right side of things, though.

If you’re still looking for Connecticut wedding vendors, why not come to our next show? You’ll have a great time and can meet and book all the vendors you’ll need for your big day!
